Job description

Top manufacturing company in Houston, TX seeking an experienced CNC Journeyman Machinist. Great long-term growth opportunity. Looking for an individual who takes pride in craftsmanship, precision, and continuous improvement. In this role, you will work with advanced CNC (Computer Numerical Controlled) and manual equipment to produce high-quality components in a safe, efficient, and team-oriented environment.


We're looking for a seasoned manufacturing professional with 10+ years of hands-on experience who can confidently program (G & M code as well as CAM), set up, and operate CNC (Computer Numerical Controlled) equipment, including Mazak mills, Haas lathes, and manual machines. The ideal candidate excels at making smart decisions about quality, tolerances, and machining sequences, and brings a strong commitment to safety, efficiency, and precision to every project.


Requirements:


  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • 10+ years of hands-on CNC machining experience in a manufacturing environment.
  • Proficiency in programming, setting up, and operating CNC mills and lathes (Mazak, Hass, or similar equipment preferred). Both on the machine and via desktop.
  • Experience working with a variety of materials. Experience with exotic metals and plastics is a plus.
  • Strong skills in precision measurement, inspection techniques, and quality control.
  • Technical certification, apprenticeship completion, or journeyman machinist program preferred.
  • Formal CNC programming training (Mazatrol, Haas, Mastercam, or similar) is a plus.
