Senior Computer Systems Engineer / Architect (MECM)

Hybrid - Martinsburg, WV

Duration: Long-Term

Clearance Required: Active Secret Clearance

MECM (SCCM) architecture, Adaptiva OneSite, enterprise endpoint management, PowerShell automation, Windows Server/Active Directory, OS deployment & patching, and security compliance (DoD 8570).
Responsibilities

Enterprise Architecture & Design

  • Architect, implement, and manage large-scale MECM environments.
  • Lead endpoint management strategy across enterprise infrastructure.

Content Distribution Optimization

  • Deploy and optimize Adaptiva OneSite for efficient content delivery.
  • Improve bandwidth utilization and endpoint performance.

Software Deployment & Patch Management

  • Develop and deploy application packages, updates, and security patches.
  • Ensure seamless and automated rollout processes.

Operating System Deployment (OSD)

  • Create and maintain task sequences for automated OS deployments and upgrades.
  • Manage imaging, driver integration, and migration strategies.

Security & Compliance

  • Enforce endpoint security standards aligned with DoD and regulatory requirements.
  • Monitor compliance and remediate vulnerabilities.

Automation & Scripting

  • Develop advanced PowerShell scripts to automate operational tasks.
  • Improve system efficiency and reduce manual processes.

Troubleshooting & Support

  • Provide expert-level troubleshooting for MECM and Adaptiva environments.
  • Resolve client health, distribution, and performance issues.

Documentation & Reporting

  • Maintain detailed system documentation.
  • Generate compliance, deployment, and health status reports.

Required

  • Bachelor's degree in IT, Computer Science, Cybersecurity, or related field (or equivalent experience).
  • 8+ years of IT experience.
  • 5+ years of hands-on experience with MECM in large enterprise environments.
  • Strong experience with Adaptiva integration.
  • Active Secret Security Clearance.
  • DoD 8570 IAT Level II certification (Security+ CE, CySA+, etc.).
  • Strong expertise in:
    • Windows Server (2012-2025)
    • Active Directory, Group Policy, DNS
    • Windows Imaging & Task Sequencing
    • VMware vSphere or Microsoft Hyper-V
    • PowerShell scripting

Preferred

  • Microsoft Certified: Endpoint Administrator Associate
  • Microsoft Certified: Windows Server Hybrid Administrator Associate
  • Experience with Microsoft Azure & Azure Virtual Desktop (AVD)
  • Knowledge of network infrastructure & content distribution optimization
