Job description

Position : Service Desk / Desktop Packaging Engineer
Location : Plano, TX, LA, TN (Onsite)
Term : Full time with client
Job Summary:
  • 5 years of experience in desktop engineering, desktop application packaging, or application deployment support
  • 2+ years of experience managing application deployments across enterprise environments
  • Hands on experience with application packaging technologies including MSI, MSIX, and App V
  • Strong PowerShell scripting experience for automation, packaging, installation logic, validation, deployment, and troubleshooting
  • Experience with deployment and endpoint management tools such as Microsoft Intune, SCCM/MECM, InstallShield, or similar enterprise management platforms
  • Ability to build, test, troubleshoot, and maintain application packages across enterprise desktop environments
  • Solid understanding of Windows 10 and Windows 11 operating systems, including registry, file systems, permissions, services, Group Policy, and endpoint configuration
  • Experience supporting large scale software deployments in a controlled enterprise environment
  • Familiarity with change management, release processes, documentation, and production support standards
  • Understanding of security requirements, vulnerability remediation, patching, and compliance expectations in financial services environments
  • Experience working with AWS heavy or cloud integrated environments is preferred, especially where desktop tools connect to cloud hosted infrastructure
  • Strong troubleshooting skills and the ability to collaborate across infrastructure, security, application, and operations teams
  • Comfortable documenting packaging standards, deployment instructions, known issues, testing results, and rollback procedures

Desired Skillset:
  • Relevant Microsoft, endpoint management, Windows administration, or cloud certifications are preferred

Education:
  • Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Engineering, Cybersecurity, or a related field
