Desk Security personnel may also assist employees and guests with security-related concerns. Strong attention to detail and communication skills are essential for this role.

What does a desk security do?

Desk Security professionals are responsible for monitoring building entrances, verifying employee and visitor credentials, and ensuring that only authorized individuals access the premises. They regularly patrol designated areas, document incidents, and respond promptly to alarms or reported security concerns. In addition, they communicate with other security staff, coordinate with facility management, and may assist in emergency response drills. This role is highly interactive, requiring frequent collaboration with both security teams and the general public to maintain a safe and secure environment.
