Titre de poste : Concepteurtrice de niveaux Senior

Nous sommes a la recherche d'une Concepteurtrice de niveaux Senior pour se joindre a notre equipe. Vous serez responsable du processus de bout en bout pour les niveaux joueur contre joueur (JcJ) et les niveaux interieurs afin de creer une jouabilite exceptionnelle et d'appuyer le concept global du jeu. Vous collaborez etroitement avec les specialistes des diverses disciplines au sein de l'equipe et vous tirerez parti de votre passion envers la conception pour inspirer vos collegues, en utilisant la retroaction et les donnees pour creer du contenu amusant et stimulant.

Responsabilites et taches

  • Concevoir, mettre en uvre et iterer les niveaux joueur contre jouer sur les niveaux interieurs JcJ et Bac a sable

  • Travailler avec l'equipe de conception a l'etablissement des fonctionnalites prioritaires, a la validation de la qualite du jeu et a la livraison des taches dans les delais requis.

  • Processus de creation de cartes et connaissances en architecture 

  • Evaluer la jouabilite et la fluidite pour s'assurer que l'experience de jeu voulue a ete creee.

  • Utiliser la retroaction et les donnees pour assurer le maintien et le developpement continu de contenu pour les niveaux.

  • Passer en revue le travail effectue et fournir une retroaction positive.

  • Participer a la conception et a l'elaboration d'outils d'edition de niveaux personnalises et de scripts de base.

  • Travailler en etroite collaboration avec les specialistes des diverses disciplines dans tous les aspects du processus de developpement pour assurer la realisation du concept.

  • Collaborer avec l'ensemble de l'equipe a la resolution des defis de conception.

  • Corriger les bogues de conception.

Experience et competences

  • Au moins cinq annees d'experience dans un role connexe

  • Livraison d'au moins un jeu pour console AAA

  • Solides aptitudes en reflexion analytique et critique pour assurer la revision et l'evaluation des niveaux en fonction des criteres de conception

  • Bonne comprehension de la fluidite et du rythme d'un jeu

  • Experience en equilibrage de systemes de jouabilite

  • Connaissance des outils d'edition de niveau et des langages de script

  • Bonnes competences en documentation et souci du detail

Haven joined the PlayStation Studios family as the first Sony game development team in Canada in 2022. Our first game is in development for PlayStation and PC, a competitive multiplayer action heist game with a vision to entertain and engage players for years to come. 

Position - Senior Level Designer

We are looking for an experienced Senior Level Designer to join the Haven Entertainment Studios project team. The Senior Level Designer will have end-to-end responsibility for PVP and Interiors, crafting exceptional experiences for the player and supporting the overall design vision for the game. You will collaborate closely with several disciplines across the team and leverage your passion for design to inspire those around you, using  feedback and data to create fun and challenging  content.

Reporting

The Senior Level Designer will report to the Producer.

Responsibilities and Duties

  • Design, implement and iterate on  PVP Sandbox  and interior levels.

  • Work with the design team to prioritize features, validate the game's quality, and ensure  the timely delivery of tasks.

  • Assess gameplay and flow to ensure desired player experience is achieved.

  • Use feedback and data to maintain and drive the continual development of level content.

  • Review work and provide constructive feedback.

  • Assist with the design and development of custom level editing tools and basic scripting.

  • Work closely across disciplines on all aspects of the development process to ensure design vision is realized.

  • Collaborate with the team at large to resolve design challenges.

  • Fix design bugs.

Experience and Skills Required

  • 5+ years experience in related role.

  • Shipped at least one AAA console title.

  • Map creation process and architecture knowledge. 

  • Strong analytical and critical thinking skills to review and assess levels against design criteria.

  • A good awareness of the flow and pace of a game.

  • Experience balancing gameplay systems.

  • Knowledge of level editing tools and scripting languages.

  • Good documentation skills and attention to detail.

  • Excellent collaboration skills and at ease communicating design ideas and concepts across all disciplines.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Knowledge of Unreal level editing tools and scripting languages.

  • Familiarity with 3D modelling tools.
