Job description

Required Qualifications:

  • An active TS/SCI clearance with Polygraph.
  • A Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, or any relevant technical field and 12 years of relevant experience; or a Master’s degree and 10 years of relevant experience; an additional four years of experience may be considered in lieu of degree.
  • Experience with Intel or Defense industries
  • Ability to work across cross-functional teams, with the ability to educate or train others in digital design methodology and RTL-to-GDS processes.
  • Familiarity with industry-standard EDA tool suites.
  • Understanding of all process steps: Design entry, synthesis, place-and-route, analysis and optimization, physical verification, chip finishing & tape-out
  • Experience working in Verilog, VHDL, Tool Command Language (TCL) scripting
  • Experience acquiring & integrating third party intellectual property into designs
  • Experience working with commercial foundries for the fabrication of completed designs, including experience with design kits and Design Rule Checking (DRC).
  • Willingness and ability to travel.

  • The ideal candidate will possess demonstrated cultural competency and the ability to collaborate effectively with individuals from diverse cultural backgrounds.
  • Candidates should also have proven experience and/or relevant education specifically related to working within the United States Indo-Pacific Command (USPACOM) area of responsibility. In this role, the Digital Design SME will act as a Technical Advisor/Consultant to critical SI/SETA activities and serve as a primary interface between the Program customers/stakeholders, the technical development team, and end users. They will ensure robust requirements definitions, execution and development processes, solutions as well as support testing/training in advance of the deployment of technical capabilities. They will be expected to support multiple efforts and will assist the customer in making informed decisions related to requirements and developments. They will also assist with the deployment of technical capabilities while serving as a focal point to balance various equities and operational considerations.

The Digital Design SME will be responsible for the following but not limited to:

  • Provide policy, guidance, and resource advocacy on technical, operational and analysis support.
  • Have a solid understanding within one or more of the following subject areas: Application Specific Integrated Circuit (ASIC) design & fabrication, microprocessor design & fabrication, Electronic Design Automation (EDA) tools, workflows and environments
  • Analyze extremely complex problems and develop highly innovative solutions while engaging in onsite project coordination with technical leads, advise on impacts and mitigation approaches and solving mission critical challenges.
  • Have a strong expertise in drafting, reviewing and briefing customers and other stake holders, as required.
  • Promote synchronization and synergies across multiple projects.
  • Provides or leads in-depth analyses for translating customer unified capabilities needs into the support and new developments.
  • Directs, designs and develops security, reliability and integration/interoperability plans for the classified customer.
  • Lead and manage project teams and initiatives.
