Job description

Seeking an experienced Sr. Engineering/ Project Manager to lead the mechanical engineering function, build a strong technical team, and establish standards and systems that support capital projects and future facility growth.

Responsibilities
  • Lead, mentor, and develop the mechanical engineering team with equipment responsibility for fixed/ rotating equipment, tanks, heat exchangers, utility systems, packaging equipment and plant site mechanical infrastructure.
  • Serve as the technical authority for mechanical equipment and systems.
  • Develop engineering standards, specifications, templates, and design practices.
  • Provide mechanical oversight for capital projects from concept through startup.
  • Review work completed by EPC firms, consultants, and equipment vendors.
  • Support the standardization and replication of equipment and facility designs.
  • Ensure designs meet safety, reliability, operability, and maintenance requirements.
  • Partner with engineering, operations, project management, procurement, and construction teams.
Experience
  • BS in Mechanical Engineering.
  • 12+ years of mechanical engineering experience in chemical, petrochemical, refining, energy, or advanced manufacturing.
  • Strong expertise with static and rotating equipment.
  • Experience leading engineering teams and developing technical talent.
  • Capital project experience from concept through commissioning.
  • Experience managing EPC firms, consultants, contractors, and vendors.
  • Strong knowledge of ASME, API, ANSI, ASTM, NFPA, and OSHA standards.
  • PE license and experience developing engineering standards are preferred.
