The successful candidate will develop, maintain, and expand a reliable network of repeat home-care referrals while establishing relationships with leading healthcare professionals, community partners, and referral influencers. This position reports to Helping Hearts’ Business Development and executive leadership teams and works closely with operations, scheduling, recruiting, and marketing.Key ResponsibilitiesBuild and Maintain Referral Relationships Establish, nurture, and expand long-term relationships with professional referral sources. Create partnerships that produce consistent, repeat home-care referrals. Build trust and rapport with healthcare professionals, community leaders, prospective clients, and families. Maintain frequent contact with active referral partners to keep Helping Hearts visible and accessible.Prospecting and Community Outreach Identify prospective clients, referral sources, and business partners through market research, cold calling, email campaigns, in-person visits, networking events, community outreach, and professional referrals. Conduct daily outreach and maintain consistent engagement with current and prospective referral sources. Use established professional relationships to introduce Helping Hearts to new partnership opportunities. Represent Helping Hearts at approved professional meetings, networking functions, healthcare events, and community programs.Develop Key Referral Sources Build and maintain relationships with: Hospitals and discharge-planning departments Rehabilitation centers Assisted-living and senior-living communities Skilled-nursing facilities Physician offices and medical practices Home-health and hospice agencies Case managers and care coordinators Social workers and discharge planners Elder-law and estate-planning professionals Veterans’ organizations Faith-based and community organizations Other senior-care, disability-support, and healthcare professionalsLead Generation and Sales Generate qualified leads and convert appropriate opportunities into new clients. Guide prospective referral partners through Helping Hearts’ referral process. Respond promptly and professionally to inquiries and referral opportunities. Provide leadership with meaningful feedback about market conditions and growth opportunities.Pipeline and CRM Management Maintain an accurate and active pipeline of prospective clients and referral partners. Document all calls, visits, meetings, referrals, follow-ups, and outcomes in the company’s CRM system. Complete timely follow-up with every qualified opportunity. Submit required activity reports, referral updates, and performance reports by established deadlines. Track progress toward weekly, monthly, quarterly, and annual performance goals. Maintain accurate records supporting commission and bonus eligibility.Collaboration and Customer Service Work closely with operations, scheduling, recruiting, marketing, and company leadership. Support a smooth transition from referral to client intake and service. Respond to questions and concerns promptly, respectfully, and professionally. Participate actively in business-development training, team meetings, performance reviews, and strategic planning. Complete assigned daily, weekly, and monthly business-development responsibilities. Training and support may include: Helping Hearts service and company-orientation training CRM and pipeline-management training Sales-process and documentation training Approved marketing and presentation materials Service eligibility, pricing, and referral-process education Territory-development guidance Regular coaching and performance meetings Collaboration with operational and executive leadership During the initial development period, goals will focus on learning Helping Hearts’ services, developing the assigned territory, establishing referral-source relationships, and building an active sales pipeline. Expectations will progress toward full referral, admission, revenue, and service-hour goals.Required Qualifications Applicants must: Be at least 18 years of age. Possess a high school diploma, GED, or equivalent. Have at least two years of successful business-development, healthcare sales, home-care sales, senior-care marketing, community-relations, or closely related experience. Have an established network of professional referral relationships within the market they are applying to represent. Have a proven record of generating leads, developing partnerships, closing new business, and meeting performance goals. Demonstrate strong verbal, written, presentation, and interpersonal communication skills. Understand professional sales terminology, prospecting, lead nurturing, relationship management, negotiation, and closing strategies. Be comfortable making cold calls, conducting in-person visits, delivering professional presentations, and attending networking events. Applicants must not provide confidential, proprietary, or protected client information belonging to a current or former employer.
