Overview

The Kitchen Designer/Estimator is responsible for creating functional, aesthetically appealing kitchen designs while providing accurate cost estimates for cabinetry, countertops, hardware, and related materials. This role blends creativity with technical precision, ensuring clients receive designs that meet their needs, budget, and project timelines.
Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop detailed kitchen layouts, custom cabinetry, and millwork designs based on client requirements, site conditions, and project budgets.
  • Conduct client consultations to understand functional needs, style preferences, and material selections.
  • Meet with clients to understand their needs, preferences, and lifestyle requirements.
  • Ensure designs comply with building codes, safety standards, and ergonomic best practices.
  • Prepare detailed and accurate cost estimates for cabinetry, millwork, countertops, hardware, finishes and installation.
  • Interpret architectural drawings, blueprints, and site measurements.
  • Generate quotes, proposals, and revisions based on client feedback.
  • Collaborate with vendors to obtain pricing and product availability.
  • Work closely with project managers to ensure design intent is executed.
  • Manage update estimates as needed.
  • Guide clients through the design and selection process with professionalism and expertise.
  • Present design concepts and revisions in a clear, engaging manner.
  • Provide product knowledge and recommendations based on quality, budget, and style.

Qualifications:

  • Experience in kitchen or interior design, cabinetry, or related field.
  • Strong proficiency in CAD design software (AutoCAD, 2020, Cabinet Vision, or similar).
