About the Role:

The CAD Design position is integral to the development and realization of precise technical drawings and designs used by production to build various products for the paperboard packaging, label, gasket and other converting industries The successful candidate will collaborate closely with production and customer service. Attention to detail as critical to producing high quality deliverables that support efficient production and reduce errors. 

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Associate degree or higher.
  • Experience in industry standard CAD software such as AutoCAD, SolidWorks, or similar platforms.
  • Strong understanding of folding carton sheet-fed and web-fed tools
  • Strong understanding of Metric/Standard conversion 
  • Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings, blueprints, and specifications.

Responsibilities:

  • Use of proprietary CAD software to prepare/generate manufacturing file programs.
  • Generate CAD projects from various forms of customer data ranging from existing program files, blueprints, and specifications. 
  • Check PPS Viewer 3 times a day
  • Follow QMT documents while programming tools
  • Be able to program 2 full set of tools a day
  • Give feedback to CS and production about tools and mistakes
  • Participate in developing of new tools
  • Follow up with CS to get the answer same day
  • Use of various measuring equipment when needed based upon customer supplied data. 
  • Perform other work-related duties as assigned.
  • Work as a member of a design team, cooperating with the team leader and with management in an effective manner to perform tasks with high quality.
  • Make every effort to complete assignment on time and on schedule.
  • Treat all Marbach information and customer information in a confidential manner.
  • Inform supervisor of problems or issues which affect the companie’s ability to meet customer requirements.
  • Maintain and continually improve technical and professional abilities described above and required to perform assigned tasks. This may be done through reading and continuing education.
  • Department Quality Control 
  • Generation of structural design blueprints for tool fabrication
  • Documentation of customer specifications.
  • Use of proprietary client management system

Proficiency in CAD software, strong analytical skills and attention to detail, familiarity with industry standards, strong organizational skills.
