Job description

PRIMARY DUTIES:
  • Create, detail and revise drawings for new and existing components or machinery in CAD.
  • Design and/or improve fixturing for manufacturing.
  • Work with Tool and Die to design progressive tooling for manufacturing.
  • Create new knife designs and redesign existing patterns to optimize manufacturing and/or functionality.
  • Document test results from all fixture/tooling development testing.
  • Assist Engineering by providing support for layouts, fixturing, or other CAD related projects.
  • Create 3D printed prototypes of new products and/or components.
  • Manage Engineering and Capital projects related to tooling and fixturing.
  • Document and maintain drafting standards for the Drafting department.
  • Provide support to members of Engineering, Tool & Die, Maintenance, Production, Quality, Purchasing, and Innovation as necessary.
  • Maintain component documentation in the ERP system.
  • Create and update material specifications as necessary.
  • Create and update Engineering specifications as necessary.
  • Maintain drafting backlog and drawing vault.
  • Create and communicate timelines and track projects for all design projects.

EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS:
  • Associate's degree in CAD or Engineering required.
  • Knowledge of AutoCAD and Inventor required.
  • 3-5 years manufacturing experience preferred.
  • Demonstrated Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word and Excel) required.
