Job description

The Design Engineer is responsible for designing critical components and subsystems for life science, medical, analytical, and industrial OEM manufacturers. This role focuses on the development of custom-engineered products, innovative solutions, and value-added assemblies that meet specific customer requirements.
The Design Engineer manages multiple projects simultaneously in a fast-paced, customer-focused environment. This position plays a key role in supporting revenue growth by delivering high-quality, engineered solutions that align with customer needs and company objectives. Strong project management skills, technical expertise, and the ability to collaborate cross-functionally are essential for success in this role.
The goal of this role is to design and develop innovative, high-quality engineered components and solutions that meet customer requirements and support business growth. It focuses on delivering effective technical designs through strong project management, cross-functional collaboration, and continuous improvement while ensuring quality, safety, and manufacturability.

Responsibilities
  • Collaborate with all areas of production in a manufacturing environment to ensure optimal product quality and best practices.
  • Develop unique and innovative designs or modify standard products to meet customer requirements.
  • Prepare and maintain complete engineering documentation, including product specifications, assembly instructions, and detailed drawings.
  • Analyze static and dynamic structures to evaluate and optimize device performance through simulation and experimentation.
  • Identify root causes of product or process issues and develop, implement, and verify effective solutions.
  • Manage multiple projects concurrently to meet customer timelines and project schedules.
  • Communicate effectively across multiple internal and external teams.
  • Maintain and promote adherence to quality and safety standards throughout the design and production process.

Education & Experience:
Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent from an accredited university or college, or a minimum of 5 years’ experience in engineering related functions with emphasis in design.
Skills & Abilities:

  • Strong technical expertise with proven troubleshooting capabilities.
  • Solid understanding of mechanical drawing standards and design principles.
  • Proficiency in 3D CAD systems and 3D modeling.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously, prioritize effectively, and adapt to changing timelines in a fast-paced, customer-focused environment.
  • Experience working with mechanical and/or electrical components and control systems.
  • Strong analytical thinking and creative problem-solving skills.
