Job description

The Role 

Fanatics is building a next-generation financial services platform designed for sports fans - one that is trusted, compliant, engaging, and deeply integrated across the Fanatics ecosystem. We are seeking aFounding Product Designer, Financial Servicesto report directly to theHead of Product, Financial Servicesand lead the product design ofzero-to-one financial services products. 

What You'll Do: 

Design Leadership & Strategy 

  • Define and own the product design vision and strategyfor the Fanatics Credit Cardand supporting products.
  • Partner with Product, Engineering, Marketing, and Data teams to bring innovative ideas to life while ensuring cohesive, fan-focused experiences.
  • Establish and scale design systems, processes, and best practices across teams. 

Team Development & Management 

  • Build, lead, and mentor a high-performing product design team.
  • Foster a culture of creativity, innovation, and user-centered design.
  • Provide clear career development paths, coaching, and feedback to help designers grow. 

Execution & Delivery  

  • Oversee end-to-end design execution for high-priority initiatives, from discovery through delivery.
  • Ensure designs are informed by user research, data insights, and usability testing.
  • Drive quality, consistency, and accessibility in design outputs across platforms (web, mobile, retail touchpoints). 

Collaboration & Influence 

  • Act as a key partner to executive leadership, influencing product roadmaps and business priorities through design thinking. 
  • Communicate design strategy and impact effectively to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.   
  • Champion the voice of the customer across the organization. 

What We're Looking For: 

  • 12+ years of product design experience, with at least 5 years in design leadership roles.
  • Proven experience scaling design teams and systems in a fast-paced, high-growth digital environment.
  • Strong portfolioshowcasingend-to-end design leadership on consumer-facing digital products (sports, gaming, or entertainment a plus).
  • Deep understanding of UX/UI best practices, design thinking, and user research methods.
  • Experience collaborating closely with Product and Engineering to drive measurable business outcomes.
  • Excellent communication, storytelling, and leadership skills with the ability to influence senior stakeholders.
