Program Position Pay RangeAfter School Instructor (Child)$12.00 - $22.00Art Instructor (Adult/Child)$10.00 - $20.00Boxing Instructor$10.00 - $20.00Cheer and Tumbling Instructor (Child)$15.00 - $25.00Cooking Instructor (Adult/Child)$15.00 - $25.00Dance Instructor (Adult/Child)$15.00 - $25.00Early Childhood Instructor (3-5-year-old)$10.00 - $20.00Music Instructor (Adult/Child)$10.00 - $20.00Pottery Instructor (Adult/Child)$15.00 - $25.00Youth Sports and Athletics Instructor$12.00 - $22.00GENERAL PURPOSE OF THE PT- PROGRAM INSTRUCTOR Under the general supervision of Recreation Supervisor II or Assistant Recreation Supervisor, the Part-Time Program Instructor at the Marshall N. White Center is responsible for providing dynamic and engaging instruction in various disciplines. This role focuses on teaching foundational and advanced skills to students and community members, fostering creativity, and cultivating a supportive and inclusive learning environment.REQUIREMENTSProficiency in one or more disciplines listed above. At least one (1) year of experience teaching or instructing groups preferred.Familiarity with tools and techniques relevant to the class (e.g., pottery wheels, musical instruments, sports equipment).Strong verbal communication and interpersonal skills.Ability to create lesson plans and adjust instruction for different skill levels.Comfortable working with both children and adults in a classroom or recreational setting.PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS At least three (3) years of experience teaching in creative arts, athletics, or a related field.Experience working with K-12-aged students and/or adults.Relevant certifications in art, music, design, teaching, or athletics preferred.Spanish Speaking preferred.SEE ESSENTIAL DUTIES & THE FULL JOB DESCRIPTON ON ATTACHED PDFApplicants must be willing to consent to a background check, which includes a criminal record check, verification of employment, and verification of education transcripts.
