Job Title: Assistant, Creative Studio Mainline Leather Goods

Department: Design

Primary Purpose

The Creative Studio Assistant supports the Design Studio in the development, organization, and execution of seasonal product and brand initiatives. Reporting to the Sr Director, Creative Studio, this role serves as a key partner in managing creative processes, presentation development, project coordination, and cross-functional communication.

The ideal candidate is highly organized, resourceful, and creative, with a strong eye for visual storytelling, color, and design. This individual thrives in a fast-paced environment, brings a proactive approach to problem-solving, and helps ensure design concepts are communicated clearly, milestones are supported effectively, and creative assets and information are maintained throughout the design and development lifecycle.

Key Responsibilities

  • Assist in the creation and maintenance of seasonal presentation decks, concept boards, visual storytelling materials, and project communications.
  • Create realistic renderings of existing products utilizing AI-powered creative tools and emerging visualization technologies.
  • Support design and development milestones by preparing tools and resources for meetings, capturing key decisions and action items, distributing recaps, and coordinating follow-up with cross-functional partners.
  • Partner with Design, Merchandising, Product Development, Materials Development, Technical Design, Legal, and other teams to support project tracking, communication, and execution throughout the development process.
  • Maintain organized design archives, CAD libraries, color standards, seasonal assets, and project documentation to ensure information is accurate, accessible, and up to date.
  • Coordinate the seasonal color palette development process, including maintaining color tools, trackers, presentations, approvals, and communications throughout the development cycle.
  • Support material, trim, hardware, sample, legal, and product development tracking while maintaining accurate records and seasonal documentation.
  • Partner with designers and CAD resources to ensure visual assets are accurately represented and communicated across presentations and key milestones.
  • Conduct trend, market, and competitive research to support seasonal creative direction.
  • Identify opportunities to improve studio organization, processes, and workflow efficiency while proactively addressing potential project challenges.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Fashion Design, Accessories Design, Graphic Design, Communications, Marketing, or a related field preferred
  • 0-2 years of experience in a creative, fashion, design, or product development environment.
  • Proficiency in Adobe Illustrator, Photoshop, PowerPoint, and Microsoft Excel.
  • Strong organizational, project management, and communication skills and ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
  • Familiarity with AI-powered creative tools and visualization platforms, including programs such as Raspberry, Adobe Firefly, or other Adobe AI solutions is a plus; training will be provided.
  • CAD experience and product rendering skills are a plus.
  • Strong visual presentation and storytelling abilities.
  • Interest in handbags, accessories, color, materials, and product design.
  • Must have a collaborative mindset and experience working with cross-functional partners
  • Must be highly resourceful and savvy
