The Opportunity

Shape Something Different - Join our Food Services & Hospitality team in Ottawa and contribute to projects that enhance public and private spaces. As a Junior Design Technician, you'll work on food service layouts and hospitality design projects, gaining hands-on experience in drafting, modeling, and site reviews while collaborating with experts who support your growth.


Your Impact

  • Operate AutoCAD and Revit to prepare engineering drawings for food service projects.
  • Assist in designing equipment layouts for commercial kitchens and hospitality spaces.
  • Coordinate with project teams, vendors, engineers, and architects to ensure seamless delivery.
  • Execute design directions provided by senior leaders and contribute to problem-solving efforts.
  • Participate in occasional site visits for design reviews and compliance checks.
  • Support project documentation and maintain accuracy throughout all phases.

The Skills That Set You Apart

  • Diploma in Interior Design, Architectural, or Engineering Technology.
  • 1-4 years of experience in drafting and design, preferably in food service or hospitality projects.
  • Proficiency in AutoCAD and Revit, including creating and modifying families and parameters.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a dynamic environment.
  • Familiarity with hospitality operations and commercial kitchen layouts is an asset.
  • Eligibility for Canadian Federal Government Enhanced Reliability clearance (mandatory).
  • French language proficiency is an asset.

Compensation

BC, AB, SK, NWT & NU: $57,500 - $76,200
MB & ON: $52,500 - $72,300
Atlantic Provinces & QC: $52,000 - $69,000
