Job Overview:

We are seeking a skilled Foreman to provide leadership and management for all construction crew activities. The ideal candidate will prioritize safety, quality assurance, and adherence to project schedules. As the primary point of contact on-site, the Foreman will ensure strict compliance with DIG, client, and local government regulations and standards.

Responsibilities:

As the Foreman, you will play a pivotal role in ensuring the successful execution of our projects. Your duties will include, but are not limited to, the following:

  • Manage construction crews, subcontractors, and vendors to meet project deadlines
  • Implement and oversee quality control measures
  • Ensure subcontractors adhere to contractual obligations
  • Identify and address safety and compliance issues promptly
  • Maintain accurate daily activity reports
  • Coordinate with the project team to resolve construction conflicts
  • Conduct regular site inspections and plan future activities accordingly
  • Manage punch list identification and completion
  • Lead pre-construction meetings with subcontractors
  • Provide training and performance evaluations for crew members
  • Foster a culture of accountability and productivity among the crew
  • Conduct toolbox meetings and enforce safety protocols
  • Develop and communicate work plans to the crew
  • Address challenges and adjust goals to meet production targets
  • Perform on-site assessments and oversee work execution
  • Prepare and distribute critical reports and documents

Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or equivalent; degree in relevant field a plus
  • Minimum 3 years of experience in dry utility construction or related field
  • Proficiency in construction principles and blueprint interpretation
  • Familiarity with Microsoft Office Suite; Bid2Win software knowledge desirable
  • Valid driver's license and ability to pass federal background check
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Attention to detail and commitment to company core values

Physical Requirements:

  • Ability to perform manual labor and lift up to 50 pounds
