Position Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Design and Drafting Director with expertise in managing bills of material (BOM), CAD team members and work, as well as the associated documentation. The successful candidate will be a key member of the configuration control board, responsible for ensuring accuracy, consistency, and efficiency in all aspects of configuration and definition management. This role involves hands‑on experience with CREO, SolidWorks, Windchill, PDM, and direct management of Engineering Change Requests and Notices (ECRNs).

BOM Management
  • Oversee the creation, maintenance, and accuracy of bills of material (BOM) and design definition for gas turbines and associated parts.
  • Ensure that BOMs align with engineering specifications, manufacturing requirements, and quality standards.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to update BOMs based on design changes and engineering revisions.
  • Collaborate and contribute to the development of automated BOM updates within current or developing systems.
CAD Management for Gas Turbine design and manufacturing
  • Lead and coordinate CAD activities related to gas turbines and rotating equipment both part definition and manufacturing support.
  • Utilize CREO, SolidWorks, Windchill PDM to create, modify, and manage models and drawings.
  • Ensure that CAD designs adhere to industry standards, company guidelines, and regulatory requirements.
  • Actively participate as a key member of the configuration control board.
  • Provide expertise in configuration and CAD matters during board meetings.
  • Collaborate with other board members to drive continuous improvement in configuration management processes.
Supporting NCRs/ECRNs
  • Critical role in creating, reviewing, managing, and executing NCRs/ECRNs.
  • Work closely with engineering teams to assess the impact of proposed changes on BOMs and designs.
  • Coordinate with Manufacturing and Supply chain management team to ensure cut in is acceptable.
  • Implement approved changes and update documentation accordingly.
Collaboration and Communication
  • Foster effective communication and collaboration with engineering, manufacturing, quality, and other relevant departments.
  • Provide technical guidance to cross‑functional teams to resolve configuration‑related issues.
  • Identify opportunities for process improvements in configuration and CAD management.
  • Implement best practices to enhance efficiency, accuracy, and overall productivity.
Required Qualifications
  • Proven experience in configuration and CAD management.
  • Must be fluent in English, with strong speaking, reading, writing, and comprehension skills.
  • US work authorization is a precondition of employment. The company will not consider candidates who require sponsorship for a work-authorized visa.
  • Successful candidate will need to satisfactorily complete pre-employment drug screen and background check
