Job Description

Required Skills:

  • 7+ years overall network experience
  • CCNP certification desired
  • Mid-Senior Level Consultant - 5+ year Cisco IOS experience
  • 2+ Year SSL-based connectivity experience

Purpose:

As part of an effort to move certain customer applications of the Internet, CLIENT is building a new, standards-based solution, to support secure connectivity for customers and business partners. The solution will support secure connectivity via SSL VPN and/or IPsec VPN. Contract resources are required to assist with the build, testing, and migration of existing customer and business partner connections to the new solution.

Responsibilities:

  • Assist in the design phase including Proof of Concept (lab) and to-be solution. Prepare and/or update deliverables as assigned.
  • Perform configuration, build and testing activities for Proof of Concept (lab), build and configuration of to-be solution, and during customer and business partner migrations.
  • Prepare written test cases per functional, non-functional and quality requirements to support to-be solution and migration testing.
  • Perform and record results for the unit, end-to-end and another testing to support Proof of Concept (lab), build and configuration of to-be solution, and customer and business partner migrations.
  • Identify the document "run book" activities for pattern-based migration plans, based on requirements (schedule and resources) and direction from Architect or other project resources.
  • As assigned, perform technical risk analysis or impact assessment, with written results, for other project dependencies, technical issues or challenges, customer and business partner requirements, etc.
  • Perform client and business partner migrations, including testing and post migration support based on the schedule (likely to include evening and weekend work).
  • Other project activities as assigned.

 Technical Skills and Certifications:

  •  7+ years overall network experience
  • CCNP certification desired
  • Mid-Senior Level Consultant - 5+ year Cisco IOS experience
  • 2+ Year SSL-based connectivity experience
  • 1+ Year Cisco VPN IPsec experience, including ISR 44xx experience
  • 1+ projects with Client VPN migration experience
  • 2+ years combined experience with Checkpoint FW, Cisco ASA firewall and F5 Big IP (NAT, VIPs, etc.)
  • Proficiency in creating network conceptual and detailed diagrams with MS Visio
  • Proficiency creating written test artifacts
