Role Description

This is a full-time hybrid role for a Student Intern at 1Milk2Sugars agency to start in the Fall of 2026. The Student Intern will be responsible for the support of the development and execution of social media strategies, assist in creating engaging content, and monitor online engagement. This is an excellent opportunity to gain hands-on experience in digital marketing, content creation, and social media management within a fast-paced agency environment. They'll also help with administrative tasks and research projects to support the digital team. The role will be based in Toronto, ON with flexibility for some remote work. This role is funded by the Government of Canada.


Work term is: September 8, 2026 to December 24, 2026.


We work with many well-known brands such as LitterGenie, W Hotel, Rare Beauty, e.l.f. Cosmetics, and many more!


Duties will include but are not limited to the following:


  • Assist with managing our Instagram, Twitter, and Facebook accounts for our clients
  • Source and create compelling and unique content for each channel
  • Assist with developing social media calendars
  • Assist with developing shot lists
  • Edit photos and utilize graphic design skills for posts
  • Monitor client's social media pages
  • Schedule and publish social media posts
  • Conduct outreach for location, photographer, and vendor sourcing
  • Prop shopping for content shoots


Communications

  • Participating in various events and product launches.
  • Ongoing internal communications with various departments.
  • Coordinating fact checks and sample requests.



Product Management

Assist with showroom:

  • Shipping and Receiving
  • Sample Inventory


Data entry, Reporting & Research

  • Updating client reports and metrics


Misc

  • Reception and general administrative tasks


Requirements:

  • Must be currently enrolled in a Canadian-accredited post-secondary institution with a focus in Marketing, Graphic Design, Photography or related field.
  • Must be proficient in Microsoft Office (Word/Excel/PowerPoint) & Google Suite
  • Strong knowledge of Social Media (TikTok, Twitter, Instagram, Facebook, Pinterest etc.)
  • Prior social media and graphic design experience is considered an asset
  • Must be available to support events or projects that may occur outside of regular business hours.
  • Physical ability to lift, move, and carry up to 25 lbs. is an essential part of the role.
