Job description

Iron Mechanical is currently seeking a Mechanical Design Intern to work with our Pre-construction department in Sacramento! We offer a dynamic work environment that encourages growth from within, and offers endless opportunities to advance your education, training, and career, which makes this a great opportunity for anyone looking to develop their skillset within our industry! This position is part-time and requires 16-24 hours per week, with preferred availability on Mondays.


Responsibilities (include but are not limited to):

  • Update Revit and CAD backgrounds
  • Export Revit models to Navis models
  • Create PDFs from CAD and Revit models
  • Organize, highlight, and follow up on weekly tasks
  • Assist in updating ventilation calculations
  • Assist in updating equipment schedules


Qualifications:

  • Detail-oriented, self-motivated, and problem solver
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills
  • Ability to collaborate with others
  • Flexibility to adapt and learn quickly
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook, etc.)
  • Basic knowledge/and familiarity with AutoCAD, Revit, Navis, and Bluebeam is preferred, but not required
