Job Summary: The Design Intern works within the Kings Creative department and partners with our Team Store Merchandising, Marketing, Digital and Business Intelligence teams to execute robust design solutions, as well as assisting the Visual Designers on various digital experiences and technology-led initiatives.
Key Responsibilities:
  • Work closely with the Visual Design team to support their initiatives, bringing your unique perspective and creativity to the table.
  • Assists the Kings Team Store creative team with original design solutions for the Retail Marketing calendar including promotions and campaign development.
  • Collaborates with the visual design team on the production of retail seasonal stories, product launch campaigns and shopping promotions, plus integrating with other creative team efforts from time-to-time.
  • Supports the retail, creative and marketing teams by distilling content from key stakeholders into digital design solutions and works to ensure consistent execution.
  • Assists on social media design and content needs for the Kings Team Store channels, with a primary focus on Kings Team Store platforms.
  • Assists the creative and retail marketing departments with design production needs that create an effective store environment that will attract customers with visual appeal.
  • Assists on photoshoots with file ingest and product population.

Qualifications:
  • Currently a college senior preparing to graduate with a Bachelor's Degree in visual, graphic or web design, UI/UX, or related field.
  • Exhibit exceptional skills in the Adobe Creative Suite programs and familiarity with Figma Design systems a plus.
  • Must be detail oriented with the ability to manage projects as assigned, multi-task and meet deadlines.
  • Bring a creative, resourceful, and problem-solving mindset to your work.
  • Ability to conceptualize design solutions and execute in the digital landscape, with emphasis on ecommerce strategies and methodologies.
  • Knowledge of sports design and retail brands with a strong ecommerce presence preferred.
  • Knowledge of project management tools and concepts preferred.

To qualify for Kings University internships, you must be:
  • Currently enrolled in college or have graduated within 12 months
  • Able to commute to the downtown Sacramento office
  • Able to work up to 25 hours per week during the summer session

Interns will be compensated $17.50 per hour and receive benefits such as California Paid Sick Leave, discounts on Sacramento Kings merchandise, and free parking.
