Job description

Provides for the design, development and/or Implementation of engineering products, methods and processes of a technical nature. This position works independently on moderately complex technical projects while assisting on larger complex projects of a technical nature. May conduct basic and applied research to evaluate materials and equipment for applicability in design and manufacture. May recommend improvements in testing equipment and techniques.

Working Procedure:

  • Responsible for the design, development, testing and implementation of engineering processes, methods and products
  • Works under supervision and technical oversight on projects or subsystems of a technical nature
  • Supports the generation of written documentation in a team environment to include engineering drawings, engineering standards, engineering specifications, technical proposals, test procedures, technical manuals, disclosures and scientific discoveries
  • Works as part of integrated product teams with other cross functional professional employees in the execution of engineering functions
  • Works independently on small to moderately complex projects or assists on large complex projects of a technical nature
  • Receives guidance from, and interfaces with, peers, senior engineers and other professional employees in the execution of engineering functions
  • Defines and analyzes the technical requirements for assigned engineering tasks
  • Generates, modifies and upgrades mathematical models to predict design performance
  • Uses commercial and proprietary simulation tools in developing and evaluating designs
  • Plans, schedules and organizes the assignments with guidance
  • Acquires information from all relevant sources, including industry and governments standards, handbooks, textbooks and reference manuals
  • Knowledge of design techniques, tools, and principles involved in production of precision technical plans, blueprints, drawings, and models

Education Requirement: Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, in a related discipline.

Experience Requirement: Minimum of five years of engineering experience. Advanced degree can be substituted for job experience pending review. 

In compliance with state and local laws, the salary range for this role is $92,751-$120,000. The range provided is a general guideline and good faith estimate representative of all experience levels but is not a guarantee of compensation or salary. TCOM considers several factors when extending an offer including, but not limited to, the scope and responsibilities of the position, a candidate’s experience, education/training, key skills, internal equity, and current market conditions. Employees may be eligible for a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results.
