About the Role

This is a full-time, on-site role based in Washington, DC

You'll support the planning, design, and implementation of security systems across a range of real-world projects. This role blends AutoCAD drafting, field coordination, and exposure to security operations, with a clear path toward project management and design leadership.

What You'll Do

  • Develop and modify AutoCAD drawings for security and technology systems

  • Support site plans, device layouts, and infrastructure design

  • Coordinate with security, IT, facilities, and project stakeholders

  • Participate in project meetings and support implementation efforts

  • Learn and contribute to security system design (access control, video surveillance, etc.)

  • Support project tracking, documentation, and coordination across teams

  • Develop AutoCAD and GIS-based maps supporting emergency response and incident planning

  • Produce layouts for major events (inaugurations, demonstrations, state events, etc.)

  • Support rapid updates to mapping during evolving situations

  • Coordinate with law enforcement, emergency management, and facilities teams

  • Maintain standardized templates and mapping protocols

  • Participate in planning meetings and translate feedback into updated visuals

What We're Looking For

  • 1-5 years of AutoCAD experience (MEP, telecom, or low voltage preferred)

  • Interest in security systems, technology design, or the built environment

  • Strong attention to detail and ability to work in a fast-paced, on-site environment
