Role Overview
As a CAD Designer, you will be responsible for creating, refining, and developing comprehensive technical and construction drawings for high-quality residential building projects. Working alongside architects, engineers, and project managers, you will ensure every design element-from custom cabinetry to structural specifications-is functional, inspiring, and accurate.
Key Responsibilities
  • Technical Drafting: Create detailed technical drawings, construction blueprints, and comprehensive residential plans.
  • Software Expertise: Utilize Chief Architect software to produce high-quality, accurate designs including custom cabinet elements and detailed residential layouts.
  • Compliance & Standards: Ensure all designs strictly adhere to local building codes, structural material requirements, and advanced construction techniques.
  • Documentation: Maintain meticulous project records and manage system operation updates throughout all phases of construction.
  • Team Collaboration: Work closely with internal project teams to support budget-variance management and ensure on-time project milestone delivery.
Required Qualifications
  • Education: Minimum Associate's Degree or 2-year Technical Degree in Architecture, Engineering, or a related field.
  • Experience: 4+ years of professional experience strictly within Residential Construction.
  • Technical Skills: Exceptional understanding of architectural drawings, building codes, materials, and residential layouts.
  • Software Proficiency: Strong hands-on experience with CAD software; proficiency in Chief Architect is highly preferred.
  • Core Competencies: Supreme attention to detail, independent troubleshooting capabilities, and the ability to manage custom cabinet design components.
