JOB TITLE: Technical Design 2 
LOCATION: Hill AFB, UT
PAY RATE: $37.75/hour

We are a national aerospace and defense staffing agency seeking highly qualified candidates for a position with a top-tier client.

Job Details:

Qualifying Questions:

Summary: 

  • Design, develop, and maintain engineering drawings

  • Prepare design layouts and modify existing designs

  • Perform 3D CAD modeling of existing equipment

  • Support configuration management and engineering data updates

  • Investigate and resolve manufacturing and engineering-related issues

  • Verify accuracy of engineering data produced by others

  • Revise and maintain standard operating procedures for technical design

  • Coordinate workload and priorities with program managers and team leads

Requirements:

  • Active Secret Clearance Required

  • Associate degree and typically 1+ years of related experience, or an equivalent combination of education and experience

  • Experience with CAD tools including AutoCAD, CATIA, and NX

  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office tools including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint

  • Ability to read and interpret blueprints, engineering drawings, diagrams, specifications, and bills of materials

  • Knowledge of assembly and production processes, manufacturing capabilities, and delivery configurations

  • Understanding of engineering drawings, schematics, wiring diagrams, and supplier data

  • Must be a U.S. citizen to comply with security clearance requirements.

Preferred Skills:

  • Previous Design Engineering experience

  • Experience collaborating with cross-functional engineering teams

  • Experience identifying required material types for parts and components

  • Knowledge of responsibilities across engineering disciplines including design and test engineering
