We are accepting applications for individuals who meet our minimum qualifications and who can provide instruction within the following areas:
- Interior Design
Pay will vary by course being taught.

Characteristic Duties and Responsibilities (include, but not limited to)

Under the direct supervision of the Associate Dean/Instructional Manager, the instructor is responsible for providing instruction to students within the assigned and approved instructional delivery system and in accordance with the mission, goals, policies and procedures of the District. The instructor is responsible for providing an active learning environment to enable students to demonstrate course competencies, and creating a student learning centered environment that places learning at the center of educational experiences.

Minimum Qualifications
  • Industry specific software use/training (Auto CAD, Photoshop, and 2020, Chief Architect, or CET Confugura);
  • Ability to collaborate with other disciplines (architecture);
  • Knowledge of industry trends, certifications, organizations, and licensure (ASID, CIDA);
  • Understanding of interior design industry standards and codes.
  • Twenty-four months (4,000 hours) of verifiable occupational experience working as an interior designer. One year (2,000 hours) shall be within the previous five (5) years. One year of related occupational experience may be waived if the candidate has at least two (2) years of post-secondary teaching experience in interior design within five (5) years.
  • This position also provides instruction to Architectural Drafting/Construction Technology AAS degree students. Experience and/or familiarity with architectural drafting is preferred for this position.
  • BA Degree from an accredited institution of higher education in Interior Design;
  • Will also consider an AAS in Interior Design with related/supporting BA degree (e.g., Organizational Leadership, Business, Business Management, etc.)
