Job description

Position Title:Postdoctoral Research Associate - Swine Nutrition and Digital TechnologyAppointment Type:Post Doc/TraineeJob Description:

Summary of Duties and Responsibilities:

The successful candidate will design and execute research studies focused on swine nutrition, management practices, and the adoption of digital technologies within modern swine production systems. They will analyze complex datasets using advanced data science techniques and communicate findings through technical reports and presentations. The position will also contribute to the development and publication of scientific manuscripts, as well as support grant writing efforts and the preparation of external funding proposals. In addition, the candidate will play a key role in advancing innovative digital solutions, such as computer vision models and web-based decision support tools, to enhance efficiency and decision-making in swine production.

Required Minimum Qualifications:
Ph.D. in Animal Science, Swine Nutrition, Bioinformatics, Statistics, Data Sciences, AgEngineering, or related fields.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Two or more years of research experience in animal sciences or a closely related field
  • Experience with experimental design, statistical analysis, and big data analysis
  • Proficiency with data analysis software (e.g., SAS, R)
  • Demonstrated record of peer-reviewed publications and effective research communication
  • Experience communicating complex information through written reports, presentations, and verbal briefings to diverse audiences.
