About the Role:

The Design Center Support role is essential in providing exceptional customer service and support within the design center department including kitchens & bath, flooring, and doors & windows. This position focuses on assisting customers in selecting products and materials that align with their design vision, ensuring a seamless and enjoyable shopping experience. The successful candidate will collaborate closely with design consultants to assist customers and maintain an organized design center. Additionally, this role involves managing inventory and ensuring that displays are visually appealing and up-to-date. Ultimately, the Design Center Support team member plays a crucial role in enhancing customer satisfaction and driving sales through effective design solutions.


KEY DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Provide the highest level of service to all customers ensuring each customer is greeted and welcomed to the Design Center.
  • Maintain professional business contact with customers offering refreshments and updates on Design Center/Flooring Sales Rep status.
  • Gather customer information and complete a prequalify online form notifying Design Center/Flooring Sales Rep to contact within allotted time.
  • Provides customers with information on additional items related to product purchases or directs the customer to the Sales Reps or departments to complete their projects.
  • May order SPO product on display in the showroom to include bath hardware, cabinet hardware and other accessories for customers who are not doing a full project with a Sale Rep.
  • Conduct showroom tours of the Design Center to add value and improve the customer’s expectations.
  • Maintain knowledge of vendors, vendor books, and vendor pricing on design center products.
  • Maintain samples, literature and brochures on the showroom floor.
  • Follow up on notes and customer information resolving questions and concerns in a timely manner.
  • Ensures the showroom area is clean and inviting to customers, including organizing, dusting displays, cleaning countertops and sweeping.

Abilities include:

  • Attention to detail with strong organizational and time management skills with ability to multi-task.
  • Computer literacy with ability to learn new computer software programs (i.e.: Word, Excel, Outlook, Internet)
  • Excellent written and oral communication and presentation skills
  • High level customer service skills
  • Sense of urgency and self-motivation; ability to work independently.

Part-time hours or days available!


Varied hours (morning or afternoon) OR varied days (2-4 days per week) covering our store hours M-F 7am to 6pm and every other Saturday 8am to 4pm.
