Job Title: Assistant Project Manager

Job Location: Amesbury, MA
Job description:

The Assistant Project Manager will work closely with Project Managers, Superintendents, subcontractors, vendors, engineers, and clients to help coordinate and manage wastewater construction projects. This position is ideal for a detail-oriented professional looking to build a career in municipal and utility construction management.

Key Responsibilities

  • Assist Project Managers with the planning, coordination, and execution of wastewater construction projects.
  • Review project plans, specifications, contracts, and bid documents.
  • Prepare and track submittals, RFIs, change orders, and project correspondence.
  • Coordinate material procurement, equipment rentals, and subcontractor scheduling.
  • Monitor project schedules and help identify potential delays or issues.
  • Ensure all subcontract agreements, purchase orders, and related contract documents are fully executed prior to the commencement of work.
  • Attend project meetings and prepare meeting minutes and action items.
  • Support monthly billing, payment applications, and project reporting.
  • Maintain organized project files and documentation.
  • Assist with permit applications, regulatory compliance, and safety documentation.
  • Conduct site visits to monitor progress and coordinate with field personnel.
  • Foster positive relationships with clients, engineers, suppliers, and subcontractors.

Qualifications

Required

  • 1โ€“5 years of experience in construction, engineering, project coordination, or related fields.
  • Strong organizational and time-management skills.
  • Ability to read and interpret construction drawings and specifications.

  • OSHA 10 or OSHA 30 certification.
