Job description

Responsibilities

Desert View Hospital is a 25-bed, acute care hospital set in a rural community. Desert View provides safe and competent nursing care for patients in accordance with facility policies, standards, and philosophy. We provide professional leadership and support to the healthcare team. The concepts of Patient Centered Care will provide the foundation for all nursing care.  Demonstrates Service Excellence standards at all times. 

Job Description: Responsible for incoming patients of his/her representative and records information required for admission.

Qualifications

Job Requirements:

  • Education: High School or equivalent preferred.
  • Experience: Two years-experience in a hospital admitting office or physician office preferred. Two years of experience verifying health-care insurance and securing pre-authorizations for medical procedures. Must be knowledgeable and understand coordination of benefits to ensure a seamless billing and reimbursement process.
  • Technical Skills : Computer proficiency to include word processing and patient accounting system. License/Certification None Other Must be able to demonstrate the knowledge and skills necessary to provide service appropriate to the age of the patient.
  • Some positions may require accurate interpretation and translation in a bilingual targeted language.
