Position Summary:

We are seeking an experienced and compassionate Dermatology Registered Nurse (RN) to join our outpatient care team. This role involves working closely with dermatologists and other healthcare professionals to provide high-quality, patient-centered care. The RN will focus on assessments, treatment coordination, health education, and support for patients managing dermatological conditions.


Key Responsibilities:

1. Patient Assessment & Care:

  • Perform comprehensive patient assessments, including health histories, physical exams, and dermatological evaluations.

  • Assist in treating common skin conditions such as acne, eczema, rashes, and infections.

  • Collaborate with physicians to develop and implement treatment plans.

2. Health Education & Counseling:

  • Educate patients and families about treatment options, medication usage, skin care practices, and preventative health.

  • Promote sun safety and wellness practices tailored to dermatologic health.

3. Care Coordination:

  • Coordinate referrals, follow-up visits, and diagnostic procedures (e.g., biopsies, allergy testing).

  • Maintain effective communication with interdisciplinary healthcare teams to ensure seamless patient care.

4. Documentation & Compliance:

  • Accurately document patient encounters, assessments, treatments, and outcomes.

  • Ensure compliance with organizational protocols and regulatory standards.

5. Patient Advocacy:

  • Serve as a patient advocate, ensuring individual preferences are respected in the care process.

  • Facilitate clear communication between patients, families, and the healthcare team.

6. Quality & Emergency Response:

Qualifications:
  • Licensure: Active, unrestricted RN license (any U.S. state).

  • Certification: Current CPR/BLS certification (AHA-accredited).

  • Experience: Minimum 3 years in an outpatient clinical setting.

  • Education: Graduate of an accredited nursing program (ACEN or CCNE).

  • Strong communication, documentation, and collaboration skills.

  • Able to perform in high-pressure or emergency situations.

  • Must pass all required government background checks.
