Job description

Zachary Piper Solutions is hiring a Deputy Project Leader to a leadership position. They will be responsible for supporting employees on particular projects, create strategic plans and budgets, develop a comprehensive project plan, dissect statistical data. This is a direct placement role on-site at Manassas Virginia. The Deputy Project Leader is expected to provide experience in technology systems integration. This position does not require a clearance to start. This is a great opportunity to join rapidly expanding cyber-physical solutions work in the NOVA region.

Responsibilities for the Deputy Project Leader:
  • Collaborate with supervisors, owners, contractors, and design teams to resolve construction issues, streamline work processes, and ensure successful project execution.
  • Have proficient understanding and knowledge of Telecommunication Systems including Fiber Optic & Structured Cabling, CCTV, OSP & ISP Copper, along with DAS.
  • Coordinate the procurement of materials and collaborate with project teams and warehouse personnel to track tool, equipment, and resource requirements
  • Facilitate and support day-to-day operations of a project or sub-section of a project
  • Maintain awareness of project deadlines for decision-making, RFI submissions, and documentation of verbal discussions and agreements.
Required Qualifications for the Deputy Project Leader:
  • 5+ years of experience working for a telecommunications integrator or electrical contractor, with a Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field.
  • Experience working on telecommunications and electronic security projects ranging from $500,000 to $10 million.
  • Experienced in reviewing construction documents, including contract drawings, specifications, addenda, change orders, RFIs, subcontracts, and submittals.
  • Minimum 4+ years of experience & established knowledge in complex markets on projects specific to Federal Aviation, & Government Airports, Higher-Education, Information Transit Systems.
  • Experience installing Information Transport Systems.
  • Experience utilizing Microsoft Office Suite, sophisticated project management tools, CPM scheduling, cost modeling, and AutoCAD software.
  • Familiarity with design practices, tools, and concepts required to create detailed electrical and security system plans, schematics, and construction documents.
  • Up to 25% travel required; must have reliable transportation, a valid driver's license, and a satisfactory driving record.
  • Must have ability to obtain a TS/SCI.
Compensation for the Deputy Project Leader:
  • Salary range: $100,000 - $130,000 *depending on experience*
