Leidos' Defense Sensors Persistence Surveillance Portfolio is seeking a Deputy Program Manager to help lead a multi-billion-dollar, full-lifecycle defense program operating across multiple CONUS and OCONUS locations.

Primary Responsibilities

.

  • Support overall program execution, performance, and customer satisfaction.

  • Lead and align geographically dispersed, cross-functional teams.

  • Translate evolving customer and mission requirements into executable plans.

  • Identify risks, resolve complex issues, and drive timely decisions.

  • Engage confidently with executive leadership, senior government customers, and high-ranking military personnel.

  • Represent the Program Manager in key meetings and act on their behalf when required.

  • Support cost, schedule, technical, operational, and contractual performance.

  • Travel regularly to CONUS and OCONUS program locations.

Basic Qualifications

  • BA/BS or equivalent experience and 12+ years of prior relevant experience or Masters with 10+ years or prior relevant experience. 7+ years of experience supervising or leading teams or projects.

  • Significant leadership experience on large, complex defense, aerospace, intelligence, or government programs.

  • Demonstrated ability to lead in fast-paced environments with changing priorities and incomplete information.

  • Strong executive presence, judgment, communication skills, and learning agility.

  • Experience leading cross-functional and geographically dispersed teams.

  • Ability to quickly understand the program, anticipate priorities, and make decisions aligned with the Program Manager's direction.

  • Experience engaging senior government, military, and corporate leaders.

  • Must be a US Citizen, possess and maintain an active DoD Secret clearance and able to obtain and maintain a DoD Top-Secret clearance.

  • Must be a resident of Huntsville, AL or willing to relocate to the Huntsville, AL area.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Prior experience as a Program Manager, Deputy Program Manager, Operations Director, Chief of Staff, or senior functional leader.

  • Experience supporting large defense programs.

  • Familiarity with full-lifecycle defense program execution, including development, deployment, sustainment, and modernization.

Experience supporting classified, international, or OCONUS operations
