Job Description

The Finance Senior Manager serves as the lead strategic finance partner for Consumer Deposits and is responsible for integrating the organization's most critical executive deliverables, including the Monthly Business Review (MBR), Forecast, Budget, Strategic Plan, and ad hoc leadership presentations. The role acts as the central point of coordination across Finance, Product, Analytics, Marketing, and FP&A teams to ensure leadership is receiving a consistent, fact-based narrative on business performance, risks, opportunities, and strategic priorities.

This individual is accountable not only for developing executive materials, but also for creating connectivity across deliverables, eliminating redundant work, and ensuring the business story is developed once and communicated consistently across multiple forums and audiences. The role serves as the primary owner of executive storytelling for Consumer Deposits and helps translate complex financial and business performance into actionable insights for senior leadership.

In addition, the role leads continuous improvement efforts focused on automation, AI enablement, and process transformation. Responsibilities include identifying opportunities to automate recurring analyses, streamline presentation development, standardize commentary production, reduce manual reporting activities, and implement technology-enabled solutions that increase organizational capacity for strategic decision support. Success in the role will be measured by improved efficiency, stronger executive messaging, enhanced business partnership, and the development of future Finance leadership capabilities.


Primary Responsibilities

  • Serve as the lead finance partner and integrator across Forecast, Budget, Strategic Planning, MBRs, and executive reviews.
  • Develop and maintain a consistent executive narrative that clearly communicates business performance, key drivers, emerging risks, opportunities, and strategic priorities.
  • Identify synergies across deliverables and create scalable processes that eliminate redundant work and improve efficiency across the Finance organization.
  • Partner with senior business leaders to support strategic initiatives, evaluate performance, and provide decision support on high-impact business issues.
  • Lead automation and AI enablement efforts across Consumer Deposits Finance, including enhancement of reporting, commentary generation, analytics, and presentation production processes.
  • Drive continuous improvement initiatives that simplify processes, improve operating leverage, and redirect team capacity toward higher-value analysis and strategic business partnership.
  • Provide coaching, leadership, and development opportunities that build future Finance leadership bench strength.

Key Qualifications

  • Progressive experience in Finance, FP&A, Strategic Finance, Corporate Finance, or Business Planning.
  • Demonstrated ability to lead enterprise forecasting, budgeting, strategic planning, and executive-level financial presentations.
  • Proven track record of translating complex financial and business performance into concise, actionable recommendations for senior leadership.
  • Experience partnering with executive leaders and influencing decisions across multiple business functions.
  • Strong communication and storytelling skills with the ability to develop compelling narratives for executive and board-level audiences.
  • Experience leading cross-functional initiatives, driving process improvements, and simplifying complex workflows.
  • Knowledge of automation, analytics, AI-enabled tools, and finance transformation initiatives.
  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, Business, or a related field.
  • MBA or advanced degree in Finance, Business, or related discipline.
  • Experience supporting Consumer Banking, Deposits, Product, Pricing, Treasury, or Retail Banking organizations.
  • Experience developing executive committee, board, or regulator-facing materials.
  • Demonstrated leadership in finance transformation, automation, or organizational effectiveness initiatives.
  • Experience developing talent and building future finance leadership capabilities.

Preferred Qualifications

  • MBA or advanced degree in Finance, Business, or related discipline.
    • Experience supporting Consumer Banking, Deposits, Product, Pricing, Treasury, or Retail Banking organizations.
    • Experience developing executive committee, board, or regulator-facing materials.
    • Demonstrated leadership in finance transformation, automation, or organizational effectiveness initiatives.
    • Experience developing talent and building future finance leadership capabilities.

Hours & Work Schedule

  • Hours per Week: 40+
  • Work Schedule: Monday - Friday (4 days in office, 1 day remote)

Pay Transparency

  • The salary range for this position is $129,000-$169,000 per year, plus an opportunity to earn an annual discretionary bonus. Actual pay is based on various factors including but not limited to, the budget, work location, and relevant skills and experience.
