Position Overview:

The Deposit Support Specialist supports deposit and legal processing functions within the Operations Support Department. This role is responsible for executing transactions, conducting research, and maintaining accurate records in accordance with regulatory requirements and internal policies. The Specialist contributes to operational efficiency, risk mitigation, and a consistent member experience through accurate processing, effective communication, and collaboration with team members.

  • This role is eligible for a $500 sign-on bonus

Key Responsibilities:

Research, Quality & Processing

  • Perform account research and complete adjustments to ensure accuracy and compliance
  • Document quality control findings in alignment with regulatory requirements and internal standards
  • Identify and communicate trends or discrepancies to senior team members or management
  • Review and respond to subpoenas and legal requests; escalate complex or sensitive matters as appropriate

Deposit Processing

  • Process transactions including deposits, withdrawals, garnishments, levies, and other legal orders
  • Respond to internal and external inquiries related to deposit accounts and transactions
  • Support IRA transaction processing and respond to general IRA-related inquiries
  • Maintain accurate records and complete required file maintenance.

Compliance & Risk Management

  • Adhere to all regulatory requirements, policies, and procedures
  • Maintain confidentiality and security of member and organizational information
  • Escalate potential risk concerns or exceptions to appropriate team members

Team Collaboration & Support

  • Collaborate with team members to ensure efficient and consistent operations
  • Provide support on complex or situational transactions as needed
  • Participate in team meetings and contribute to process improvement discussions

Administrative Support

  • Maintain accurate documentation of transactions and member interactions
  • Prepare reports and support operational tracking as required

Requirements:

Qualifications:

  • High school diploma required; associate or bachelor’s degree preferred Minimum
  • 2+ years of banking or financial services experience, or equivalent combination of education and experience
  • Experience with transactional processing, research, or member service functions preferred
  • Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends, as needed to support business operations
