Job description

Position: Automation Fabrication Technician
Location: Huntsville, AL
JOB DESCRIPTION:
Produce mechanical components for custom automation equipment. This includes basic set up and operation of Waterjet, Press Brake, and other pieces of equipment. In addition, reading drawings and BOM's to produce components to specifications.
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:
  • High school diploma or GED
  • Valid driver's license
  • Speak and understand English
  • Read and write proficiently
  • Basic computer skills (Windows, Microsoft Word, Microsoft Excel)
  • Energetic with a drive for continuous process improvement.
  • Own some basic machinist's tools - calipers, MICs, indicators, hand tools, etc.
  • Two years of fabrication experience
  • Ability to read prints and select proper tooling to make parts to drawings.

ADDITIONAL REQUIREMENTS (PEFERRED):
  • CAM Programming experience
  • Forklift experience

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:
  • Regularly lift up to 25 lbs.
  • Occasionally lift up to 50 lbs.
  • Stand/walk for 8-10-hour shifts
  • Be able to work in any position (reach, bend, kneel, etc.)
  • Ability to learn quickly and retain information long term
