Job Summary

Our client is seeking a Senior Project Manager to support the Information Security team in planning, executing, and delivering IT security initiatives. This is a hands‑on role requiring a technical project manager with cybersecurity ("security shop") experience who will actively manage projects—not just observe. The ideal candidate will be an integral part of the team, driving execution, anticipating risks, and ensuring the successful delivery of complex initiatives.

Key Responsibilities
  • Actively lead and manage projects end‑to‑end, ensuring timely and successful delivery
  • Track project status, monitor progress, and provide clear updates to stakeholders
  • Identify, escalated, and resolve issues proactively
  • Develop a strong understanding of project scope, timelines, and dependencies
  • Serve as a key partner to stakeholders, acting as a trusted advisor ("project manager whisperer")
  • Be an integral part of the team, contributing to both planning and execution
  • Forecast potential risks/issues and communicate them effectively with mitigation strategies
  • Develop and maintain detailed project plans, schedules, and timelines
  • Create, assign, and manage tasks across project teams
  • Coordinate with cross‑functional teams, leadership, and stakeholders
  • Ensure adherence to EPMO standards, project charters, and required documentation. Coach teams on project management processes and best practices
  • Facilitate status meetings, reporting, and stakeholder communication
  • Drive audit remediation efforts, including identifying issues, defining tasks, and ensuring resolution
  • Support and manage change management initiatives
  • Oversee technical deployments, ensuring smooth execution
  • Collaborate closely with security teams to align priorities and execution
Required Qualifications
  • 8 years of experience in Project Management, including 5 years leading IT security initiatives
  • Proven experience as a hands‑on Technical Project Manager in a cybersecurity environment
  • Experience working within an EPMO or PMO environment, with adherence to project governance standards, charter development, and required documentation
  • Strong ability to manage, not just coordinate, complex projects
  • Experience with Microsoft Project for planning and tracking
  • Experience with ServiceNow SPM (Strategic Portfolio Management) module
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (required)
  • Strong understanding of audit remediation, risk management, and compliance
  • Experience managing change management and technical deployments
  • Ability to manage multiple projects and priorities simultaneously
  • Excellent communication, leadership, and stakeholder management skills
  • Ability to understand technical concepts and translate them into actionable plans.
Projects
  • Mitigating IRS audit findings
  • Integration of Mainframe RACF with SailPoint
  • Solution for managing public accounts
