Reporting to the Team Lead, Application & Data Projects, the Enterprise Applications Project Manager, is responsible for leading  the planning, execution, and successful delivery of Applications implementations. This role is accountable for managing project scope, schedule, budget, resources, and stakeholder communications to ensure Application Implementation initiatives meet business objectives and drive operational efficiency. 

The Enterprise Applications Project Manager will oversee initiatives supporting enterprise functions including, but not limited to:

  • Human Resources (HR)
  • Finance
  • Health & Safety (HSEC)
  • Supply Chain
  • Corporate Services
  • Enterprise Operations

This role ensures the solutions are delivered on time, within scope, and aligned with business process & goals:

  • Create project documents and associated planning documents.
  • Facilitating effective project scheduling, activity tracking, monitoring and controlling and change control processes involved in the projects lifecycle and deliverables.
  • Manage unresolved issues/risks involving risk/issue mitigations, resolution options and recommendations.  This includes engagement with various project stakeholders as required and working with other project team members.
  • Prepare regular project status reports indicating project deliverables, possible risk and issues, time-lines and tracking anticipated effort to completion of tasks and milestones.
  • Additional responsibilities as required by the PMO Team Lead, Applications & Data, including but not limited to, developing Statements of Work, Deliverable tracking/acceptance, Application Integration tracking, supporting test planning and execution and requirements traceability.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Be a courageous safety leader, adhere to and sponsor safety and environmental rules and procedures.
  • Utilize established project delivery methodologies (Agile, Waterfall, hybrid) depending on project context.
  • Maintain RAID logs (Risks, Actions, Issues, Dependencies) with clear mitigation and escalation plans.
  • Lead steering committee updates, governance reporting, and executive communications.
  • Ensure enterprise application projects align with organizational governance, architecture, compliance, and operational requirements.
  • Support the development and maintenance of project management standards, procedures, and delivery frameworks.
  • Manage cross-functional dependencies across applications, infrastructure, cybersecurity, data, and operational workstreams to ensure coordinated delivery and minimize business disruption.
  • Ensure solution align with enterprise architecture standards, cybersecurity requirements, integration principles, and compliance obligations.
  • Lead end‑to‑end project lifecycle—from initiation and requirements gathering through implementation, testing, deployment, and post‑go‑live stabilization.
  • Develop and manage detailed project plans, schedules, resource allocations, and risk/issue logs.
  • Manage project financials including forecasting, budget tracking, variance analysis, vendor invoicing, and financial reporting.
  • Ensure project goals, timelines, and budgets are met while maintaining high-quality standards.
  • Lead organizational change management activities including stakeholder impact assessments, communication planning, training coordination, readiness assessments, and user adoption strategies.
  • Partner with business and technical teams to support data governance.
  • Coordinate with vendors, system integrators, and consultants.
  • Review partner deliverables, SOWs, change requests, and verify compliance with contractual commitments.
  • Monitor vendor and implementation partner performance, ensuring quality delivery, issue resolution, milestone achievement, and compliance with contractual obligations.
  • Building Relationships - Focuses on collaboration and negotiation within all the constituencies: across the organization, partners, communities, etc. Promotes Teck Digital Systems as a valued partner and an employer of choice.
  • Creating a Culture of Continuous Improvement - Focuses on identifying and eliminating barriers to success. Uses past experiences to learn and improve future initiatives.
  • Takes action to improve processes.

Qualifications:

  • 5–10+ years managing application deployment projects.
  • Experience with Applications deployment in large enterprise, preferably in HR, Financial or industrial safety systems.
  • Proven ability to work with both technical and functional resources.
  • Strong leadership, communication, and stakeholder engagement skills.
  • Proficiency with project tools (MS Project, Azure DevOps).
  • Experience supporting cloud-based enterprise applications, integrations, automation platforms, or digital transformation initiatives is considered an asset.
  • PMP certification or equivalent project management experience
