Job description

As a Security Specialist III, you will support all facets of SNC's Security Program, including personnel security, document control, physical security, and security investigations. You will be responsible for safeguarding sensitive information and assets, supporting security awareness and training and participating in compliance assessment activities. You will also have the opportunity to expand your security knowledge across a wide range of security disciplines and participate in internal security working groups and special project initiatives.The Mission Solutions and Technologies (MST) business area provides affordable, turn-key command/control, communications, integrated ISR, force protection and security solutions worldwide. The MST team has a long legacy of supporting the Department of Defense, Department of Homeland Security, commercial and international customers with years of experience in platform operations, engineering and full lifecycle management across domains - air, land, sea, space and cyber.

Responsibilities:

  • Performing duties as a member of a deployed Contractor Special Security Representative (CSSR) team for a set of Tactical Sensitive Compartmented Information Facilities (T-SCIF) Aircraft.

  • Document Control, Physical Security (PHYSEC), Program Security, Communication Security (COMSEC), Information Assurance (IA), Personnel Security (PERSEC), Operations Security (OPSEC), and Force Protection (FORCEPRO).

  • Other Security duties as required to support the forward deployed location and mission.

Qualifications You Must Have:

  • Bachelor's degree in a related field.

  • 4+ years of experience in a related field.

  • Relevant experience can be considered as a substitute for the required educational qualifications.

  • Active security clearance and ability to obtain and maintain any Sensitive Compartmented Information (SCI) or Special Access Programs (SAP) accesses required for the role.

  • Must be able to handle classified information securely

  • Detailed understanding of security regulations, compliance and best practices.

  • Working knowledge of 32 CFR 117: National Industrial Security Program (NISPOM) or SCI/SAP regulations applicable to the role.

  • Strong verbal and electronic communication skills.

  • Self-motivated.

  • Strong attention to detail.

  • Ability to deploy for an extended amount of time to various OCONUS operating locations.

  • Ability to meet current DoD and Combatant Command requirements for deployed locations.

  • Successfully pass a pre-deployment medical assessment.

  • Must be willing and able to work extended hours, holidays, and shift schedules as required.

  • Current/ valid passport and be able to obtain a visa to travel internationally.

  • Willing to TDY for extensive amounts of time.

  • Willing to deploy OCONUS on an approximate 60/60 rotation.

  • An active Top Secret with SCI eligibility U.S. Security Clearance is required

Qualifications We Prefer:

  • Current certification as CSSO/SSO

  • Experience in the Military or Aerospace and Defense industry.

  • Advanced knowledge of industrial security practices.

  • Experience with security information management systems.

  • Experience with access control/visit control/badge management systems and software.

  • DISS/NISS experience

  • SIMS Software experience

  • Familiarity with Intelligence Community Directives (ICD) regulations.

  • Defense Information System for Security (DISS)/National Industrial Security System (NISS) experience.

  • COMSEC Hand Receipt Holder or Local Element experience

Essential Functions:

  • Dexterity to handle documents and perform electronic data entry.
