Dental Laboratory Waxer & Finisher Technician | Denture Technician
Join Our Dental Laboratory Team
We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Dental Laboratory Waxer & Finisher Technician to join our team. This hands-on position is responsible for denture waxing, processing, finishing, repairs, and relines to help create high-quality removable dental prosthetics for patients.
The ideal candidate has previous experience with denture laboratory waxing and processing, strong hand-eye coordination, and excellent attention to detail. Candidates should be comfortable working with their hands in a fast-paced, team-oriented dental laboratory environment.
Job Summary
The Dental Laboratory Waxer & Finisher Technician is responsible for key stages of removable prosthetic fabrication, including denture wax-ups, festooning, tooth carving, processing, rough and fine finishing, repairs, and relines.
This position requires strong craftsmanship, manual dexterity, and the ability to consistently meet laboratory quality and production standards.
Essential Functions & Responsibilities
  • Perform denture processing according to established laboratory procedures.
  • Complete detailed denture wax-ups.
  • Perform festooning to create natural-looking gingival contours.
  • Carve and shape denture teeth as required.
  • Perform rough and fine finishing of dentures and removable prosthetics.
  • Complete denture repairs and relines.
  • Inspect completed prosthetics for quality, accuracy, and finish.
  • Maintain consistent attention to detail throughout the denture fabrication process.
  • Perform various dental laboratory duties as assigned.
  • Follow established OSHA protocols and dental laboratory safety procedures.
  • Cross-train in other areas of the dental laboratory as needed.
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and safe laboratory workspace.
  • Work collaboratively with dental laboratory technicians and team members to complete cases efficiently.

Educational Requirements
  • High School Diploma or equivalent

Required Experience
  • Minimum of 1 year of experience trimming and pouring denture models required.
  • Hands-on experience in a dental laboratory environment.
  • Ability to perform detailed, hands-on technical work with dental prosthetic materials.

Preferred Experience
  • Previous experience as a Denture Laboratory Technician performing waxing and processing duties.
  • Same-day denture experience preferred.
  • Experience with complete and partial denture fabrication.
  • Experience with denture repairs, relines, finishing, and polishing.

  • Confident and comfortable working with your hands.
