Job description

Position: Dental Assistant
Overview: We are seeking a highly motivated and skilled dental assistant to join our amazing team. The ideal candidate will have a passion for oral health, excellent communication skills, and a commitment to providing exceptional patient care. The dental assistant will assist the dentist during patient procedures, perform office and laboratory duties, and ensure efficient operation of the dental office. Willing to train a motivated well qualified candidate.
Compensation:
  • Our highly trained assistants make anywhere from $18-30+ an hour, depending on skills, reliability and experience.

Responsibilities:
  • Assist the dentist during patient procedures, including preparing patients for treatment, handing instruments, and taking dental impressions
  • Take and process dental X-rays
  • Educate patients on oral hygiene and care following dental procedures
  • Manage patient records and document dental treatments
  • Sterilize instruments and equipment, and maintain a clean and organized dental office
  • Assist with laboratory duties, such as pouring and trimming models and fabricating temporary restorations, restoring implants, using intraoral scanner,
  • Maintain dental supplies inventory and order new supplies when necessary

Requirements:
  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
  • Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment
  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
  • Proficiency in computer skills and dental software

Physical Requirements:
  • Ability to sit, stand, and bend for extended periods of time
  • Manual dexterity to manipulate dental instruments and equipment
  • Ability to lift up to 25 pounds
