School Psychologist (LSSP) – School-Based – Bridgeport, TX

Amergis Educational Staffing is seeking a dedicated School Psychologist / LSSP for a school-based opportunity in Bridgeport, TX for the upcoming school year.

Position Details
  • Location: Bridgeport, TX
  • Start Date: August 13, 2026
  • Duration: 39 Weeks
  • Schedule: 40 Hours Per Week
  • Hours: 8:00 AM - 4:30 PM
  • Pay: Up to $63/hour local
  • Travel Package Available
  • Openings: 1
Assignment Overview
  • Provide both psychoeducational evaluations and counseling services
  • Caseload of approximately 65 students
  • Work alongside two district School Psychologists/LSSPs
  • Counseling and evaluations are distributed evenly among the team
  • Support students across multiple school sites within the district
  • Participate in multidisciplinary meetings and special education processes
Responsibilities
  • Conduct psychoeducational evaluations and eligibility assessments
  • Write reports and present findings
  • Participate in ARD/IEP meetings
  • Provide counseling and behavioral support services
  • Collaborate with teachers, administrators, parents, and related service providers
  • Support district compliance with special education regulations
Requirements
  • Active Texas LSSP or School Psychologist credential
  • Experience conducting evaluations and counseling preferred
  • Strong report writing and collaboration skills
  • Ability to support multiple campuses as needed

The School Psychologist works to support students through a variety of mental health and developmental issues and aids in qualifying students for additional support services.  The School Psychologist is responsible for providing on-site psychological services to students under the jurisdiction of the state and district. 

Minimum Requirements: 

  • Must maintain current State licensures and/or certifications in state of assignment 
  • Experience in pediatric and adolescent population is preferred 
  • Master’s degree in psychology preferred 
  • Complies with all relevant professional standards of practice 
  • Current CPR if applicable 
  • TB questionnaire, PPD or chest x-ray if applicable 
  • Current Health certificate (per contract or state regulation) 
  • Must meet all federal, state and local requirements 
  • Must be at least 18 years of age
