The UHS Corporate Insurance Department is seeking a Risk Insurance Analyst to c oordinate, monitor, review for compliance, negotiate, analyze, facilitate procedures, and track insurance requirements for contracts and agreements.
Key Responsibilities Include:
  • Verifies and approves insurance requirements.
  • This process includes a strong understanding and strategic review and analysis of the exposures of the specific contract vendor with subsequent decision around the required insurance types of limits.
  • The process often includes conversations with outside insurance brokers and consultants.
  • Reviews contracts to assess the need and assure correct additional insureds are listed, coverage limits are correct, endorsements and waivers are included, and any special terms are correctly addressed on the certificate in compliance with the associated agreement.
  • This includes ongoing negotiations and conversations with leadership in the field and at the vendors' organization.
  • Communicates and negotiates directly with the hospital facilities, possibly the vendors, and their insurance agents when there are deficiencies to assist them in achieving compliance with requirements.
  • This includes participation in webinars and conference calls with the field to provide training and support for current and newly hired employees to onboarding them, etc.
  • Obtains necessary data points and performs analytics in support of departmental and corporate initiatives.
Qualifications
Bachelor's degree required a minimum of three years of experience with commercial insurance and risk management industry, either at a carrier, broker, or client.
  • An understanding of contract terms and conditions.
  • Customer service oriented.
  • Proficient in PowerPoint, Word and Excel and industry related software.
  • Ability to multi-task and handle a high volume of work with deadlines.
  • Excellent written, communication, organizational, and analytical skills.
