Maple Shade Dental of Peoria is looking for a Dental Hygienist Assistant in Dunlap, IL, to join our clinical team. We are committed in providing a high level of patient care and satisfaction while operating team-based environment. We take pride in providing comprehensive, personalized care in warm and welcoming environment, prioritizing patient comfort and advanced treatments for optimal oral health.


Position Overview:

As a Dental Hygiene Assistant, you are an integral part of care team in providing support to the office and assisting the professional dental staff with treatment. We are passionate about preventive oral health care and value our hygiene team. Join our dynamic dental practice as a Dental Hygiene Assistant! We pride ourselves on providing exceptional care in supportive, friendly environment with opportunities for professional growth. Candidates must have prior dental assisting experience to be considered.

  • Full-time Schedule: Tues-Thurs 7:45am-5pm, Fri 7:45am-2pm

  • Prepare and set up treatment rooms, ensuring cleanliness and proper sterilization
  • Assist Dental Hygienists during patient treatment progress
  • Update patient health history and chart treatment progress
  • Expose and develop radiographs (if certified)
  • Educate patients on proper oral hygiene and preventive care
  • Cordinate with clinical staff to manage inventory and sterilization of dental instruments
  • Support the hygienist with patient scheduling and treatment recommendations and office recall systems
  • Perform routine tasks while ensuring compliance with the industry regulations including HIPAA & OSHA

Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or GED (Required)
  • Associate or certification in Dental Assisting (preferred but not required)
  • Radiology certification, preferred
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Detail-oriented with a commitment to patient care and comfort
