The candidate will assist the dental provider in thedelivery of dental procedures allowed by the WA State Dental PracticeAct. Other responsibilities are as follows: assist provider inRestorative, Prosthodontics, Endodontics, Orthodontics, Oral Surgeryprocedures, and any other procedures allowed by the WA Dental PracticeAct.As a Dental Assistant III applicant must be knowledgeable of theproper sterilization methods and OSHA regulations including QualityImprovement. Must be able to duplicate and mount radiographs, placetemporary restorations, take impressions, pour and trim models, placeretraction cord, place matrix bands, perform coronal polish and givefluoride treatments. Identify and categorize each patient's age-specific grouping ofneeds, such as those for infant,adolescents, and geriatric patients. Minimum of 2 years Expanded duties Dental Assisting experiencerequired. Dental record experience and familiarity with the utilization ofcomputers and organizational skills. Excellent customer service skills required for this position.Must be able to communicate, read and write in English and have theability to interpret common written material about dentistry.
