Description:

The Controls Engineer will support the manufacturing department by implementing process improvements on automated production machines. The Controls Engineer must be able to multitask while developing creative solutions to problems while working in a cross functional team environment.

Responsibilities:

Manage controls based improvement items on automation equipment that contains PLC’s, robots, HMI’s, pneumatics and machine networks. Support other engineers and maintenance technicians in the group with their projects. Provide secondary support for machine breakdowns. Update documentation as needed for changes made to the equipment or process using AutoCAD and SolidWorks. Provide light mechanical design functions to support controls projects.

Requirements:

Bachelor of Science in Electrical, Manufacturing or Mechanical Engineering preferred.

Two to four years of related work experience working with Allen Bradley PLC;s, robot programming (Denso robots preferred), and vision systems.

Excellent analytical ability and the ability to communicate effectively with people of all skillsets.

Strond knowledge of automation system design and their function.
