Heavy Equipment Operator

D.H. Griffin Wrecking Co., Inc. is a nationally recognized leader in demolition services, known for its commitment to safety, quality, and employee development. As the company continues to grow, it is seeking motivated and experienced Demolition Equipment Operators to join its team. This role offers the opportunity to work on a variety of projects across residential, commercial, and industrial sectors throughout Florida and beyond. Responsibilities
  • Inspecting, operating, and maintaining heavy equipment.
  • Operation includes demolition of structures, downsizing of material, loading trucks with debris, and rough grading.
  • Perform basic equipment maintenance and fill out equipment inspections.
  • Follow all safety protocols and company procedures to ensure a safe work environment.
  • Travel regularly to various job sites throughout Florida and occasionally beyond, using personal transportation.
Qualifications
  • 2 years of experience operating excavators while performing demolition tasks.
  • Experience using shears, processors, hammers, and grapples are preferred.
  • Ability to lift at least 50 pounds.
  • Willingness and ability to travel regularly to different job locations.
  • Must be able to pass a drug screening and background check.
