Company Overview

United Water Restoration Group (UWRG) provides clean-up, demo, construction and restoration services relating to water, fire, mold and storm damage. Services include emergency water damage services, water extraction, demolition of effected building materials, structural drying, fire remediation, smoke and soot removal with odor control, and mold assessment and remediation services.

Job Summary

The primary role of the Field Technician is to provide the initial response to leads from property owners. This includes calling, scheduling & meeting with property owners to assess the damage, while serving as the go-between the prospective client and UWRG branch management. The Field Technician helps the customer understand the next steps needed to begin the restoration process The Lead Technician designs, implements and supervises the extraction, drying, demolition and cleaning processes according to the IICRC S500 standard of care.

Technicians are the heart and soul of UWRG, representing our company to customers and insurance representatives in the field.  A successful Technician possesses a desire to care for our customers and to restore their property to a condition better than it was prior to their accidents.  We carry a passion for the well-being, health and safety of our customers. The Field Technician demonstrates this passion daily in all that they do.

Responsibilities and Duties

  • Maintain a safe work environment as the top priority.
  • Be pleasant, courteous and compassionate with customers at all times.
  • Help URWG co-workers perform to the best of their ability. We are a close-knit team.
  • Rapidly respond to customer needs by calling meeting with them ASAP to assess the situation and the damage.
  • Provide the customer, a clear and transparent description of the remediation process and obtaining a signed contract for United Water Restoration services.
  • Learn the process to help customers seek insurance approval for demolition.
  • Apply proper containment methods to protect unaffected areas, residents, and pets from hazards resulting from demolition and or microbial contamination.
  • Monitor jobs daily, contacting and following up with homeowners/business owners for daily appointments.
  • Maintain and upload accurate job notes on a daily basis; includes uploading photos, moisture readings, clean-up records and notes to document work progress on UWRG’s internal CRM system.
  • Be available for On-Call weeknights and weekends on a rotating basis. We are 24/7/365 service provider.
  • Maintain a professional appearance and demeanor.

Other Duties:

  • Maintain vehicle, equipment, shop cleanliness and mechanics.
  • Acquire and maintain required certifications.
  • Attend all mandatory company meetings, both internal and external
  • Learn and comply with company policies, procedures, and the technical skills and methods needed to function within the company structure.

    • Be handy and knowledgeable with the machinery and tools used to perform remediation and be able to perform maintenance on the equipment
    • Must be willing and able to respond in a timely fashion.
    • Must have the ability to support a customer during a time of extreme duress.

Qualifications:

  • High School Graduate or higher.
  • Knowledge of the Water/Fire/Mold Restoration business preferred.
  • 3+ years of experience as a field technician.
  • Pass respirator use fitness physical; ability to lift 50+ pounds.
  • IICRC Certifications Required:  WRT, ASD, FSRT Remediation Technician and NYS Mold certification. Company willing to provide training for the right candidate.
  • Solid citizen; must pass a background check, drug screen and have a clean driving record.
  • Professional ambition; has the potential and drive to grow in knowledge, responsibility, and accountability as the company grows and expands.
