Job Description
Supervises and provides asbestos abatement, remediation and demolition services to numerous iSi customers in accordance with applicable regulations and in a manner that will meet facility required production rates.
Job Requirements
Position Responsibilities
  • Supervise and perform asbestos abatement, remediation, demolition and other projects using a variety of techniques
  • Supervise a team of 1-2 leads and 5-10 laborers, handling minor personnel issues
  • Perform air sampling and submit cassettes and air sheets in a timely manner
  • Perform work in accordance with State and Federal regulations
  • Supervise and perform lead abatement activities as needed
  • Ensure employee compliance with safety policies and proper use of personal protective equipment (PPE)
  • Ensure safe operation of power tools, lifts, motor vehicles, and other equipment
  • Conduct daily toolbox safety meetings with crew personnel
  • Enforce safety policies and train new hires for compliance
  • Operate motor vehicles safely and in compliance with applicable regulations
  • Develop knowledge of client facilities and operations
  • Provide customer service to client representatives and regulatory agencies
  • Track usage of supplies and equipment
  • Inspect and track crew work
  • Complete required project paperwork, such as timesheets, JSA's, and safety meetings and submit in a timely manner
  • Submit required paperwork to Accounting Department for monthly expense tracking
  • Provide additional support as needed
Knowledge Skills and Abilities
  • 40-hour Asbestos Supervisor training
  • 2-3 years prior experience in asbestos abatement
  • 5 years prior supervisory experience, supervising crew of up to 10 people
  • Strong knowledge of KDHE regulations
  • Excellent verbal communication skills
  • Strong ability to work safely with equipment
  • Excellent problem-solving skills
  • Strong customer service orientation
  • Strong team player
  • Regular attendance and punctuality
  • Valid driver's license and satisfactory driving record
Preferred Skills and Abilities
  • Bilingual (English and Spanish)
  • Commercial driver's license
  • 24-hour HAZWOPER training
